What is Atelic AI?
Atelic AI is an industrial AI company headquartered in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). It builds industrial-grade AI for oil and gas, power and manufacturing: a secure industrial knowledge system with physics-based, auditable reasoning.
What is the Atelic Knowledge System?
The Atelic Knowledge System is Atelic's platform. It combines an industrial knowledge graph (connecting IT, OT and document data with entity resolution) with Knowledge Studio (cross-source search, cited answers, deep research agents, confidence scores and alerts) and agentic system deployments with a human in the loop.
How is Atelic different from ChatGPT or a generic LLM?
Generic large language models generate fluent text but cannot guarantee the provenance of an answer. Atelic grounds every output in your own operational data and documents, applies deterministic, physics-based and rule-bounded logic, cites the source and shows a confidence score. It is built for decisions that must be defended to engineers, auditors and regulators.

Atelic AI was founded by Ben Owen (Founder & CEO) with a team of AI, cloud, data and heavy-industry leaders who together bring more than 100 years of experience deploying systems inside enterprise customers.

Which data sources can Atelic connect to?
OT sources such as SCADA, DCS, historians, PLCs, sensors, IoT, turbine controls, grid meters and substation IEDs; IT sources such as ERP (including SAP), CMMS, AMS, MES, GIS and databases; and unstructured content such as P&IDs, drilling reports, mud logs, O&M manuals, inspection reports, permits and scanned PDFs.
Does Atelic write back to our control systems?
By default, no. Atelic integrates read-only with zero disruption to running operations. Any write-back or automation is designed explicitly with your team and governed by human approval.
Can Atelic read old scanned documents and drawings?
Yes. Complex document parsing and OCR turn scanned records, engineering drawings and legacy reports into searchable, linked knowledge, with every answer referencing the exact page.
Do we need clean, labelled data first?
No. Data pre-processing, QA/QC and industry data mapping are part of Atelic's delivery, and physics-based modelling reduces the need for large labelled failure histories.

Where is our data stored and processed?
Inside your boundary. Atelic deploys in your private cloud or fully on-premise, so operational data and documents stay under your control and jurisdiction.
What security controls does Atelic provide?
Single sign-on, per-document access control, prompt-injection guardrails, value-range (min/max) checks, safety interlocks and a full audit trail of every query, answer and agent action.
